The Classic Fusion Ferrari GT marks a new stage in the collaboration between Ferrari and Hublot. Inspired by the elegance and luxury characteristic of the Gran Turismo spirit, the Classic Fusion Ferrari GT offers a contemporary, refined design and embodies all the watchmaker’s cutting-edge expertise.
Since initiating their partnership in 2011, Hublot and Ferrari have been constantly pushing back the boundaries of Haute Horlogerie and the Automobile, blending racy design and technical excellence. Their latest creation, the Classic Fusion Ferrari GT, once again fully embodies this spirit. The Huge Inc agency, in charge of the communication campaign surrounding the release of this new model, asked us to imagine the music for the main film.
The music had to evoke the GT spirit, be coherent with the universe of both houses, and serve the purpose and dynamics of the film, a tribute to the speed and sophisticated design of Ferrari racing cars, while embodying Hublot’s excellence and innovation.
How to proceed with the sound design for the Hublot Ferrari campaign?
We chose to compose a soundtrack in which music would play a predominant role. A powerful, epic electro track. The sound effects would act as transitions, linking different parts of the film and adding dynamics and contrast. The music was composed to match each stage of the video, playing its part both in enhancing the film’s rhythm and its narrative progression.
The notable absence of engine sounds is a deliberate choice : we concentrate on the emotion felt, the sensations of driving, rather than “simply” illustrating a car starting up, an acceleration…
