“There’s no such thing as a prod without music, it’s bound to be there somewhere”.

Laurent Brett welcomes us to his agency “Brett & Cie” in the heart of Paris, where two turntables constantly play some of the 1,500 vinyl records in his personal collection. It’s in this atmosphere, never silent, that he draws his inspiration. Set up 4 years ago, his creative studio works exclusively on film and TV theme music.

The place of music in his work

As a music lover, his life is punctuated by the sound of music from the moment he wakes up until the last minute. Music influences his creations, either by giving color or by opposing it. Sensitive to sound in general, he questions its use in his creations, whether illustrative or, on the contrary, at odds with the images.
